Rehab Road Tough for Rangers Franklin Lira Friday, August 12th , 2039 Franklin Lira's return to the Texas Rangers has been delayed. The 25-year-old first baseman has been in treatment for an elbow contusion and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and Lira will not be back as originally diagnosed. He will now be out at least one week. This year Lira has hit at a .274 pace and produced 53 RBIs, 21 home runs and scored 49 runs. |
