Star of the Week Awarded in AL Monday, August 8th , 2039 It was a fantastic week for Chicago left fielder Mike Calloway and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the American League Player of the Week Award. Last week Calloway hammered the ball at a torrid .481 pace, going 13-for-27 with 3 home runs, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This year Calloway is hitting .333 with 13 home runs and 40 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .375 clip and scored 40 runs. |
