Detroit Beats Los Angeles as Mann Throws 5-0 Shutout Sunday, August 7th , 2039 Jason Mann of the Detroit Tigers was masterful today, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 5-0, against the Los Angeles Dodgers. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Detroit manager Bob Wolcott. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Mann had 8 strikeouts and no walks in the outing.
