Marlins, Astros Swap Players Monday, August 1st , 2039 In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Miami Marlins have swapped 31-year old RHP B.J. Gonzales to the Houston Astros for 19-year old minor league LF Josh Beard and 21-year old minor league RHP Danny Pope. The Marlins GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it." To date, Gonzales has 8 saves. In 26 relief appearances he has tossed 31 innings, fanned 38 and given up 11 walks with 3 wins and 1 loss. The Houston reliever has recorded a 4.35 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .195 when he on the mound. |
