Seattle-New York Trade: Gonzalez for Fox Monday, August 1st , 2039 It took some time to iron out the details, but the Mariners and Yankees have agreed to a swap. New York will get 29-year old RHP Jerry Gonzalez with Seattle receiving 24-year old minor league LHP Josh Fox and 24-year old minor league RHP Tim Insuo in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal. Since coming into the league, Gonzalez has registered 14 career saves. |
