Phillies-Expos Swap: Fernandez for Furrow Monday, August 1st , 2039 It's being reported in the Philadelphia press that the Phillies have traded 23-year old minor league 2B Danny Saylor, 22-year old minor league 3B Steve Fernandez, and 20-year old minor league RHP Daniel Pichardo to the Montreal Expos for 35-year old RHP Dan Furrow. However, there is no confirmation by the two ball clubs. Montreal will retain a portion of Furrow's remaining contract. This season Furrow has nailed down 11 saves. In 29 innings he has fanned 39 batters and walked 5. His record is 2-3 with a 2.48 ERA and the opposition is batting .283 against him. |
