Atlanta, Los Angeles Swap Players Monday, August 1st , 2039 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Braves announced today the acquisition of 26-year old 3B Ilppo Strömberg from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for 24-year old minor league 1B Jeremy Macias and 23-year old minor league 2B Alex Ayala. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Braves, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Presently Strömberg is batting .264 with 107 hits and 9 home runs. He has knocked in 30 runs and scored 51 times. |
