Trade: Mayer for Campos Monday, July 25th , 2039 In an effort to add some depth to its roster, the Oakland Athletics have swapped 22-year old minor league LF Bill Mayer to the Cincinnati Reds for 24-year old RHP Jake Campos. The Athletics GM told reporters, "We saw a chance to upgrade our ball club and took it." So far this season Campos has picked up no saves in 10 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 2-2 won-lost mark with a 5.75 ERA and fanned 20 batters in 36 innings. |
