Athletics-Mets Swap: Tafoya for Eggemeyer Monday, July 25th , 2039 Signed ... sealed ... and delivered. Oakland has worked out terms of a deal to send 20-year old minor league RHP A.J. Tafoya to New York for 28-year old RHP Chris Eggemeyer. Both teams expect to introduce their new players at press conferences later in the week. New York will retain a portion of Eggemeyer's remaining contract. This year Eggemeyer is 1-and-0 with no saves and a 2.25 ERA. He has given up 26 hits in 36 innings with 26 strikeouts. |
