June's Best Newcomer Named by AL Friday, July 1st , 2039 Gordie Lutz earned June's Rookie of the Month honors in the American League for last month's performance. The boyish Texas right fielder might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Lutz hit .327 with 5 home runs, 15 RBIs and 14 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. Currently Lutz is batting .275 with 9 home runs, 24 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
