Talbot Will Sit Out 2 Games, Suspended by League Saturday, June 18th , 2039 Minnesota third baseman Nick Talbot was ejected in the game between the Twins and Reds for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Talbot was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Talbot said in the locker room after the game. Now Talbot must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Talbot has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 2 games." For the year Talbot is batting .318 with 78 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 34 times and driven in 40. |
