Cardinals Throttled by Outlaws, 4-0
|
The Nashville Outlaws picked up a win at HCA Park, knocking off the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-0. Starting pitcher Jon McNellis was a big reason why. St. Louis now has a record of 13-11.
The game could have flipped with one out in the top of the seventh. But Jon McNellis made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With runners on 1st and 3rd and St. Louis trailing 3-0, McNellis threw a fastball to Danny Walton and Walton grounded out.
