Nationals Deal Expos 2-1 Loss
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Washington Nationals and the Montreal Expos, Jon Rinehart was the difference-maker. The Washington right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Washington is now 13-9.
Jose Aguilar made it 2-1 in favor of Washington when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the 11th. The red-hot Nationals went on to win.
"Tough loss," said Montreal manager Mark Kotsay. "But we'll learn from it."
