New York parlayed a decent outing from starter Darryl Ellison into a solid win over the New York Yankees. The final score was 5-2. The setback makes the Yankees 6-9.

In the bottom of the 4th, New York took the lead on a 2-run double by Tim Weeks. At the time, the Mets were trailing 2-1, but Weeks's hit with two outs against New York pitcher Jonathan Warner put them in front, 3-2.
