Los Angeles picked up a win at Dodger Stadium, bumping off the Pittsburgh Pirates, 3-1. Pitcher Danny Askey was a major reason the Dodgers emerged victorious. Los Angeles, now 9-1, is setting the league on fire so far.

Los Angeles center fielder Mitch Drew contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a sinker into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 9th hit of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 2-0.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Drew told the Los Angeles Daily.
