The Philadelphia Phillies topped the New York Mets, 5-0, in National League action at Citizens Bank Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Philadelphia pitcher Devin Stone. In 5.2 innings, Stone surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 2 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. The win gives Philadelphia a record of 4-2.
The Phillies got a big at-bat from catcher Raul Toledo. For the game, Toledo was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Philadelphia a 2-0 lead.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Toledo.
