Toronto turned a fine outing from starter Eric Hazard into a victory over the Boston Red Sox at Rogers Centre. The final score was 8-0. The loss drops Boston to 1-4.

Hazard, a native of Providence, Rhode Island, was dealing all game. He kept Boston hitters off-balance, while giving the Blue Jays 7 quality innings. Hazard threw 100 pitches, allowing no hits and striking out 4.
