St. Louis left fielder Mike Murphy helped his team beat the Houston Astros, 5-3. Murphy, who finished 3rd in the NL in on-base percentage with .388 in 2037, went 3 for 4 for the Cardinals. At 3-1, the Cardinals have played well so far.

In the bottom of the second, Murphy had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run single off Angel Velasco that staked the Cardinals to a 4-2 lead.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Murphy. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
