Farrington in Cruise Control in 8-1 Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Texas Rangers and Washington Nationals get after it.
The Washington Nationals went home winners at Nationals Park, thanks in large part to starter Skylar Farrington. Farrington stifled the Texas Rangers, enabling Washington to grab the 8-1 win. The Nationals have an impressive 84-48 record.
Farrington, the winner, is now 5-0. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while collecting 6 Ks. He essentially shut down the Texas offense.
"We take it day by day here," said Farrington, "and today was a good one for us."
