The Yankees downed the Twins 14-7 today at Target Field as Jimmy Cason exploded for 5 hits.

"A couple times, I got a pretty good pitch to hit," the New York shortstop told reporters in the postgame interview. "A couple times, I had to work for it. But I think they underestimated my abilities."

Jimmy Cason singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

For the year Cason is batting .230 with 101 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 37 times and driven in 52.
