League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Lara and Houston
The League Championship Series got off to a quiet start today, with the host Houston Astros taking a low-scoring 2-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds. Houston right-hander Andry Lara was marvelous at Minute Maid Park. The Astros now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Josh McCoy chipped in for Houston with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Lara.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
