Losing Streak Continues for Outlaws with 3-1 Loss to Giants
|
San Francisco picked up a win at Oracle Park, bumping off the Nashville Outlaws, 3-1. Pitcher Dan Pimentel was a major reason the Giants emerged victorious. In 8 innings, Pimentel surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The Giants, at 70-48, lead by one game in their division.
Jose Salvatierra hit a run-scoring double off Jon McNellis in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Giants in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Salvatierra had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
"Tough loss," said Nashville manager Logan Brumley. "But we'll learn from it."
