Mariners Deal Astros 7-6 Defeat
|
Seattle beat Houston at T-Mobile Park, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Jimmy Bush. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Seattle reliever Chris Branson got the win, raising his record to 6-5. Victor Ramos was tagged with the loss. Tim Insuo recorded his 1st save for Seattle.
Dave Frasier was 1 for 3 with a walk for Seattle. The 26-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Greg McKinley. It was his 3rd walk of the season.
"We got the victory," said Bush. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
The win makes Seattle 50-67.
