Division Series Game 1 Victory for Ladd and Boston
|
The Boston Red Sox powered past the visiting Milwaukee Brewers, 3-1, in the opener of the Division Series at Fenway Park today. Boston starting pitcher Rhys Ladd threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Red Sox now lead the series 1-0.
Milwaukee could barely put a dent in Ladd. The left-hander tossed 104 pitches over 7.1 innings for the Red Sox, allowing only 2 hits.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ladd told the Boston Citizen.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fenway Park in Boston.
