Quad Cities Wins Round 1
|
The Quad Cities River Bandits have beaten the Cedar Rapids Kernels and will advance to the Round 2.
Quad Cities won the final game by a 3-0 count to take the series 3-1. The River Bandits triumph was no doubt in large part because of the performance of closer Billy Little, who was named MVP of the series.
"The only thing that matters is that we're off to the next round and one step closer to a Round 2," he said.
The Quad Cities River Bandits don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the South Bend Cubs - Dayton Dragons series. South Bend leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
