Royals Defeat Brewers, 3-1

The Kansas City Royals picked up a win at Kauffman Stadium, courtesy of Jimmy Granitto. The right-hander helped his team stop the Milwaukee Brewers, 3-1. Granitto got the win, improving to 7-6. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Granitto allowed 1 run. Raul Pirela recorded the save for Kansas City, his 6th of the season.
Tyler Baron hit a 2-run home run off Bobby Hanson in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Royals ahead, 3-1. In addition to the homer, Baron had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"Every loss stings," said Milwaukee manager Shawn Blackwell. "This one is no exception."
Kansas City, at 50-65, occupies 5th place in the American League West Division.
