Nashville Drops Another One, 5-3
|
Oracle Park was the site of a competitive game between the Nashville Outlaws and San Francisco Giants.
The 5-3 San Francisco win over Nashville was due in large part to Chris Roebuck. The Giants first baseman was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Tyler Gough, the winning pitcher, is now 7-9. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 1. Josh Romero, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 28th save.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Roebuck hit a solo home run. It propelled the Giants into the lead, 3-2.
"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Logan Brumley told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
Nashville is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
