Red Sox Stymie San Francisco, Take 3-0 Win
|
The Boston Red Sox got a magnificent performance from pitcher Rhys Ladd, who stifled the San Francisco offense en route to a 3-0 Red Sox win at Oracle Park. San Francisco has now lost 4 in a row.
Boston first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. helped his team take an early lead. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Boston manager Josh Conway said.
