Grisham, Atlanta Start League Championship Series Strong with Home Win
The Atlanta Braves started the League Championship Series in style today, downing the visiting Colorado Rockies at Truist Park by a score of 9-6 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Braves right fielder Trent Grisham went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.

Ozzie Albies, who led the NL in batting average with .334 in 2024, helped out the Atlanta cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Atlanta manager Garrett Lindsey said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Truist Park in Atlanta.
