Braves Top Brewers, 6-4
|
Led by Mike Huett, the Atlanta Braves defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-4. Huett went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Braves. Atlanta reliever Jesus Ochoa picked up the win, upping his record to 7-4. Kevin Bailey took the loss. Jose Gutierrez earned the save for Atlanta, his 30th.
Atlanta used the timely hitting of Gastone Re to capture the win. The second baseman socked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Braves ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
In postgame comments, Huett said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
Atlanta, at 68-41, is 4½ games up in the National League East Division.
