|
Atlanta starter Mike Carlson had a strong outing against the Miami Marlins at Truist Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Carlson got the win, improving to 6-4. He allowed 3 hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. Carlson allowed 2 runs. Atlanta now has a record of 63-39 with the win.
The Braves got a big at-bat from first baseman Mike Williams. For the game, Williams went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 31st home run of the season gave Atlanta a 4-2 lead.
