Rangers Edge Athletics, 7-6
|
The Texas Rangers turned back the Oakland Athletics, 7-6, at Globe Life Field. Oscar Arroyo, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. C.J. Tomich, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Rangers go to 41-60 with the win.
Arroyo made an early impact for Texas when he stroked his 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Rangers on top, 6-2.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Arroyo.
