Higuero Slugs Reds to 9-4 Win
The Cincinnati Reds dumped the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-4, in large part due to left fielder Juan Higuero. On the day, Higuero slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Reds. Sandy Severino earned the win for Cincinnati. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 4-5. The win elevated the Reds to 55-45.

With Cincinnati leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Higuero hit a splitter from Carlos Romero for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Reds ahead, 5-0.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Higuero said after the game.
