The Washington Nationals downed the Montreal Expos, 7-2, at Gary Carter Field. The Nationals were led by Jacob Holloway. He hit 2 home runs. Washington reliever Jaylin Morris picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Chris Perez absorbed the loss. Alvin Pelto got credit for the save for Washington. It was his 26th of the year.
In the top of the sixth, Holloway put his team in front with his 8th home run of the season. The solo home run, which came against Chris Perez, made it 3-2, Washington.
"We want to make a habit of winning," Holloway said after the game.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Nationals.
