Cardinals Down Outlaws, 6-4
|
St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Brad Quintero pitched a good game against the Nashville Outlaws at Busch Stadium, leading his team to victory, 6-4. St. Louis, at 52-45, occupies 4th place in the National League West Division.
St. Louis took a 5-4 lead on Danny Walton's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Walton hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Nashville pitcher Jimmy Condra visibly frustrated.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Walton told the St. Louis Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
