Big Day for Crocker in 6-3 Brewers Win
|
The Milwaukee Brewers topped the Montreal Expos by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Ben Crocker. Crocker was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Brewers on the day. Bob Nease got the win, improving to 2-5. He worked 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Milwaukee, at 41-52, holds down 5th place in the American League West Division.
Milwaukee took a 6-3 lead on Crocker's 19th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Darius Osborne in the top of the seventh, propelled Milwaukee to the win.
"Nice win for us," said Crocker. "Now we'll go after the next one."
