The Atlanta Braves picked up a win at Truist Park, knocking off the Cincinnati Reds, 7-2. On the mound for Atlanta was left-hander Erik Fair, who played a pivotal role in the win. Fair got the win, improving to 9-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Fair allowed 1 run. Andy Brown closed it out for his 1st save.
Emmanuel Rodriguez had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Atlanta. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Atlanta in front, 3-1.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Rodriguez. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The Braves, at 54-37, lead by one game in their division.
