Phillies Improve to 51-38 with 5-3 Win
|
The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the San Francisco Giants, 5-3. Doing his part was second baseman Josh Woolverton, who went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mike Daugherty earned his 26th save in 34 chances. The win for the Phillies raised their record to 51-38.
Woolverton had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Phillies went on to win.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Woolverton, "and then get after it again."
