Adell Slugs Red Sox to 14-5 Win
Jo Adell made an impact in the 14-5 Boston win over Minnesota. Adell, who finished 4th in the AL in wins above replacement with 7.0 in 2022, belted 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. Boston starter Rhys Ladd was credited with the win after throwing 102 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 8-3. The win puts Boston at 61-27 this season.

Adell contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Boston in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Adell took a curveball from Joe O'Neill and stroked the home run to left. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Red Sox to leap in front, 3-1.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Boston manager Josh Conway.
