Rangers Slap 8-2 Loss on Royals
|
Behind an impressive start by Danny Babb, Texas beat Kansas City, 8-2. The winning pitcher was Babb, now 1-1. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 2. Texas's record now stands at 35-51, placing them 6th in the American League West Division.
Texas second baseman Alex Fuentes contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a curveball into left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 73rd hit of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 3-0.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Babb told the Texas Chronicle.
