Yankee Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox.

The New York Yankees got a stellar effort from pitcher Dave Grooms, helping New York score a win over the visiting Boston Red Sox, 3-2. With the win, the Yankees hiked their record to 54-32.

Nick Collins aided the New York cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the catcher was 1-3 with a double.

"We played hard and won," said Grooms. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
