Milwaukee Gets Another L, 5-2
|
Miller Park was the site for American League action featuring the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies.
The Colorado Rockies took Milwaukee pitcher Danny Betancourt's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Miller Park. The final score had Colorado getting past the Brewers, 5-2. Betancourt went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 5. Reliever Joe Hoffman picked up the win. His record improves to 6-2. Danny Betancourt took the loss.
Colorado used the bat of Josh Mooty to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Rockies ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mooty told the Colorado Daily.
Milwaukee's current losing streak has reached 7 games.
