Rays Pick Up 2-0 Win Over St. Louis
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Tampa Bay Rays and St. Louis Cardinals.
The St. Louis Cardinals got a sterling performance from pitcher Hee-seop Kim, but the Tampa Bay Rays still prevailed, 2-0. Kim threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Mike Munro converted his 1st save in 2 tries.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rob Ahrens? The Tampa Bay shortstop had a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Rays on top, 1-0. For the game, Ahrens had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Ahrens said.
The Rays raised their record to 27-55.
