Losing Streak Continues for Rays with 3-1 Loss to Astros
|
The 2039 season is going from bad to worse for Tampa Bay.
The Houston Astros beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 3-1. Houston pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Victor Ramos led the way. In 5.2 innings, Ramos surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Josh Juel earned the save for Houston, his 12th.
Josh McCoy went 1-2 with a walk for Houston. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Josh O'Donnell. It was his 43rd RBI of the season.
"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Tampa Bay skipper Tony Mansolino.
Tampa Bay has now lost 8 in a row.
