The Los Angeles Angels defeated the Boston Red Sox, 5-4, at Fenway Park today. Leading the charge for Los Angeles was shortstop Kevin Sims. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ricky Nolasco Jr. was the winning pitcher. Over 7.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts. Steve Anderson recorded the save, his 11th.

Sims had a timely hit for Los Angeles in the top of the seventh. With Boston trailing 4-3, he turned a 2-0 cutter into a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 5-4, Los Angeles.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Sims.
