Braves Lose to Giants, 3-0
|
San Francisco got a first-rate effort from pitcher Todd Clarke, who frustrated Atlanta hitters en route to a 3-0 Giants triumph at Oracle Park. Clarke, the winner, moves to 4-5. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. Josh Romero notched his 21st save in 21 chances.
Michael Rios hit a 2-run double off Mike Carlson in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Giants in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Rios had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Clarke.
The triumph puts San Francisco at 51-27 for the season.
