Streaking Royals Win Another One, 6-5
Los Angeles third baseman Ricky Romay had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Romay was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3, even as Kansas City beat the Angels, 6-5. The winner in relief was Andres Ugarte. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 5-2. The wins continue to add up for Kansas City, with the latest making it 7 in a row.

In the bottom of the sixth, Kansas City designated hitter Mel Hopkins put his team on top. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit his 23rd double of the year. Los Angeles pitcher Edwin Frias served it up. Just like that, the Royals were ahead, 6-5.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Kansas City manager Chris Graves.
