The Boston Red Sox got a stellar effort from pitcher Eddy Yean, helping Boston score a win over the visiting Montreal Expos, 6-0. The win lifted the Boston record to 103-58.
In his 92-pitch effort, Yean allowed no runs on 4 hits over 7.1 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 8.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Boston manager Josh Conway.
