Yankees Get One-Run Win at Boston
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox.
The New York Yankees did just enough to sneak past the Boston Red Sox, 4-3, at Fenway Park. New York pitcher Alex Molina, in particular, had a standout performance. New York has now won 4 straight.
The Yankees got a big at-bat from shortstop Jimmy Cason. For the game, Cason was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 27th double of the season gave New York a 2-0 lead.
Molina told a New York Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
