Late Magic Gets San Francisco 7-5 Win
The 2039 season is going from bad to worse for Texas.

The performance of Ricky Ortiz proved critical in helping San Francisco beat Texas, 7-5. The Giants first baseman went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times. Josh Romero was credited with the save, his 20th in 20 tries.

San Francisco took advantage of an error in the top of the ninth inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when Aeverson Arteaga hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put San Francisco in front, 7-5.

"This losing is getting old," said Texas manager Fabian Williamson.

The first-place Giants raised their record to 50-26.
